A
great class for those who operate whalers and similar single-screw
powerboats. Learn safe powerboat handling and improve your on-the-water
boat handling skills in this hands-on class complemented with classroom
teaching. Skills taught include slow speed and confined space maneuvering,
docking, backing, safety topics, rules of the road and overboard rescue.
Massachusetts
law requires the operator of any registered boat ages 12-15 to
carry a MA Safe Boating Certificate. This course is recognized
by the US Coast Guard and approved by NASBLA.
A
US SAILING Small Powerboat Certification is available to students upon
successful completion of this course and a passing grade on the written
test. An additional fee of $50 applies.

2 or 3 sessions
Fridays 1:00-5:00 pm
Fri-Sat 1:00-5:00 pm Friday and
9:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday
Sat-Sun 10:00 am - 4:00 pm each day
Class Size:
Minimum 4, Maximum 8 students
Prerequisite:
Ability to swim 50 yards.
