After a long absence intramural sailing has
returned as a program offering. UMASS-Dartmouth and
CBC have collaborated to offer an afternoon sailing program open to all
UMASS-Dartmouth
students.
Participants do not need any prior sailing experience. The
program teaches a broad scope from beginner basics to advanced racing
strategies, tactics and boat handling.
Collegiate sailing
programs foster teamwork, decision making, self-confidence, preparation,
and other life values by encouraging the students to strive to be their
best on and off the water.
