Sailing with your high school peers as a team forges friendships that last a lifetime. High School racing is open to students with skill ranges from beginner to advanced.

High School sailing is the fastest growing segment of sailing in the United States. This can be attributed to its focus on team sailing. At the Community Boating Center, we use this form of sailing as a vehicle to teach teamwork, leadership, decision making, self-confidence, preparation, and other life values by encouraging the students to strive to be their best on and off the water.  Students of all levels are accepted.

Some schools have formed teams, however, school sponsorship is not required for participation in our program, independents are welcome.

High school training will be conducted with our college sailing program midweek. Starting in April, we train in 420s with jib and main sail exclusively.  In the fall our sailors will train in Lasers and Club 420s.

CBC also supports any school who wishes to make sailing a varsity sport!  By becoming a varsity sport, students would travel to compete against other area schools.

Who should enroll in this program?  Beginner, intermediate and advanced sailors, who are in 7th to 12th grades.

Download and complete these forms!  Please enclose copies of your student’s latest immunization and physical examination report with your application.
