Welcome to model yacht sailing on the Southcoast of Massachusetts.  Do you have a remote controlled model sailboat?  We currently have two r/c Lasers and two r/c/Soling 1 Meters and are looking for even more.  We would love to help promote model boat sailing on the Southcoast and act as a conduit to getting more people involved and active.

We hope you will agree that New Bedford is a good central location between Newport, Providence, Taunton and Cape Cod for model boats to get together at Buttonwood Park, just off I-195 at the junction of Route 140 and Route 6.  Buttonwood Park is a fresh water body and won't help to corrode your electronics like salt water can.

GNBMBC is dedicated to introducing newcomers to the hobby of model yacht sailing and racing and helping them to learn basic yacht construction and sailing techniques.  To this end, we hope that beginning in mid April and continuing until the end of October, we conduct informal, round-the-buoys racing on weekends9AM until 12PM or later (weather permitting of course).
