 The
Intermediate Sailing Program is for intermediate and beginner sailors
between the ages of 13 and 17 who are comfortable sailing independently or
with other students without an instructor on board.
Intermediate
students will work on teamwork skills, increase self-confidence and
preparedness skills while advancing their individual sailing skills in a
variety of sailboats. This class will reinforce the intermediate student’s
prior knowledge while introducing beginner students to a variety of boats.
The class will focus on having fun while teaching the sailors seamanship,
rigging, points of sail, sailing terminology, basic right of way and water
safety.
Eight
one-week all
day sessions offered. Twenty students per session maximum.
