Looking for an exciting,
dynamic and distinct experience for your team building
program? Try Sailing! Sailing is known around the
world for its team building capabilities. Sailing builds
communication skills in such a way that causes the crew to
manage tasks, motivate effectively, interact on many levels,
delegate and accept responsibility.
On the sailboats, your group
will work closely together to learn and execute simple and
complex tasks like tacking the boat, trimming sails for best
performance and navigating. Some of your team may be
designated race committee and will direct the race. When
they've accomplished the skills, the challenge starts! We
lead your group through the team building program that
you've chosen for them. Your group will have a great time
learning to cooperate and participating in friendly
competition in a non-threatening environment.
Our programs are designed
to quickly break down those communication barriers that so
commonly occur. This facilitates participants to work
closely together to achieve the goals of their challenge.
Bring your group out of their comfort zone and into an
exciting adventure. In a fun environment, your group will
form new bonds and learn to work together in a setting that
promotes open communication and a real team attitude. On the
water, everyone participates.
After a
lecture-style briefing of the day's events, a facilitator
will present an overview of sailing theory, terminology and
a breakdown of duties performed on a sailboat. A detailed
explanation of the program will be discussed and support
materials will be handed out. Then the team will board
their vessel for their on-the-water mini-sailing course
where they will learn their position and put theory into
practice. Then the excitement takes on a whole new level…
The
facilitator will lay out your Regatta's course while the
skipper's meeting is being held. Participants will receive
the race course handout with instructions then head out to
Clarks Cove. The one-day program includes 3 races around the
marks, challenging your groups' newly acquired skills. Then
gather for an awards ceremony with fun trophies and prizes.
- No previous sailing
experience required! Our US SAILING certified
instructors will work with participants in sailing as
well as safety equipment and navigation.

insure that your team-building experience accomplishes
your goals.
