Earth Day

Earth Day is April 22.  The first Earth Day took place in 1970, when 20 million Americans participated across the country. Although we can’t celebrate this year’s 50th anniversary together, there are lots of things that we can still do to learn about the earth, our natural resources and what we can do to preserve them.

We’ve included links to some suggestions below!

Earth Day in NB

A group of city residents and organizations has come together to help New Bedford recognize this important anniversary.  While the original event can’t go on as planned, a virtual event is happening on the 22nd and every day they are posting actions from local organizations on their Facebook page.  Check it out!
