Every Day Can Be Earth Day!

The 50th Earth Day took place on April 22, but that doesn't mean you can't still make a difference for the planet.

National Geographic has a ton of cool online resources to teach about us about our world and what we can do to help sustain it.  Check out their full website using this link.  We’ve also highlighted some our favorite activities below.

Recycle Roundup

At CBC, we strive to make everyone an ocean steward and increasing awareness of marine debris is a huge part of that.  One of the easiest ways that we can all help reduce marine debris is by properly disposing of waste.  Click on the image to the right to play Recycle Roundup to learn more about what can be recycled and composted.

Neighborhood Safari

Create a safari in your own neighborhood!   Draw animals and their habitats and post them in your house’s windows for others to enjoy.  If you encourage your neighbors to do the same, you can all enjoy your own Neighborhood Safari!  National Geographic even has tips from Disney animators to help you out.

Explorer Classroom

National Geographic brings scientists and explorers from all over the world right into your house!  Every weekday at 2pm they host a live video from one of the seven continents and everyone is invited to join in and watch.  Learn and get inspired by those in the field!
