Fall Classic 2020

On Saturday, October 17, CBC hosted our annual Fall Classic.  Most of the participants had been sailing here as part of our fall high school sail program and we’re proud that a few of our own junior instructors participated.  We asked one of them, Hunter, to share a little bit about his experience.  His comments are below.

To me the Community Boating Center Fall Classic is a great time to get out on the water and have some fun while racing. There was a great mixture of fun and competition in this event. The Fall Classic was a good learning experience for my crew (Dominique) and I. The event allowed us to become more efficient with each other, seeing that the Fall Classic was Dominique and I’s first regatta together. It was great that CBC could hold a regatta safely with the ongoing pandemic occurring. It was exciting to see that the regatta was scheduled after seeing most regattas canceled this summer. The Fall Classic is a regatta I plan on attending in following years to come. My experience in the Fall Classic was overall fantastic and can’t wait to be back on the water for the 2021 Classic!

Palmer’s Island
