Community Boating Center is back with in-person instruction at Nativity Preparatory School. We began our ten-week program back in January, working with eighteen students broken up into two groups. Each student is working to complete their very own model Bevin Skiff. Throughout the project, they gain skills in basic woodworking as they use tools such as rulers, screwdrivers, handsaws, sandpaper, and power drills.

Each student receives their own materials and tools to use for the duration of the build. They take proper safety precautions as they are required to wear eye protection when using drills and sandpaper. Everyone is required to wear their mask and wipe down their tools and work station at the end of each session. Upon completion, students will take home their own hand made, scale model Bevin Skiff along with a one-of-a-kind custom paint job!
